My Memorable Experience

Healing time at MRT Station

I’m Alifah Fitri. I have some free time, so I thought to share my unforgettable vacation experience with my beloved friends. I know this is a very random post but I hope it can cheer you up. Previously I would like to introduce myself more deeply through my writing. My hobbies are watching videos and listening to music. My favorite singer is Lauv. I'm a little shy person. 

2020. For me, 2020 was a very memorable year, very sad, very torturous too. The whole world is hit by a virus that has killed many people. Several countries have implemented a lockdown system to prevent the virus from spreading. Including this beloved country, Indonesia. Why is that? For about a year I couldn't go anywhere or see my friends. I am very sad about this tragedy.

However, since the covid-19 pandemic subsided, my friends and I made plans to go on vacation to a place that can relax us. The place we chose was Puncak, Bogor. Besides the place is not too far away, the cost to get there is also not too big. Moreover, we went by motorbike. We booked a villa in Cipanas, Bogor. D-3 before leaving, we prepare carefully. Starting from checking the vehicle, packing the items to be brought, to the food during our stay.

It was time for me and my friends to go to Puncak, but one of my friends was suddenly not allowed by his parents. Finally, our departure schedule was delayed. My three friends and I tried to convince his parents. But the result.... yes we can all go. I will never forget that tense moment.

During the trip, I chatted a lot with friends while reminiscing about the first time I was introduced. Sometimes I also take photos of the surrounding scenery. After 5 hours of traveling, we finally arrived at Villa Cipanas. My friend and I stayed for 2 days one night.

While at the villa, my friends and I talked about past events and dreams of the future. Then we also swam while playing some games until at night we barbecued together while singing and laughing. There was a funny incident when we all had a barbecue lol. So our grill didn't have enough fire so my friend doused it with gasoline to make the fire spread quickly. But he doused it too much lol, then the fire got really big and chaotic. All my male friends fought over the water to put it out. After a few minutes, the fire finally went out. Yes, you can imagine how chaotic and exciting that night was. It was a very horrific incident, but also very funny when you think about it.

It didn't feel like the time had come, I and my friends went back to Jakarta. During the return trip, we stopped at many rest areas to eat, refuel, and take pictures. I bought some typical Bogor snacks for my family. When we met at the starting point again, it felt like I couldn't let go of all my friends. I have many memories from that trip.

I think that's all I can tell about an unforgettable experience during my vacation with my friends. I am very happy and also grateful that I have been met by good people who are always around me. And by the way, we're all already planning to go on vacation again this end of December. Hopefully, the Covid-19 case in Jakarta will not increase so that we can all have a vacation and gather with our loved ones.
